Signed ''De Vergennes'' and datelined Versailles in 1787, the French-language document is valid for a month, and serves as a passport for an Englishman returning to London from Paris. 1pp. partially-printed document is countersigned with a secretarial signature for Louis XVI. Measures 9.25'' x 13.75''. Foxing, toning, and creasing. Some paper remnants to left edge, a pencil notation to upper left corner and numerical notations to verso. Very good.
