Rare photo signed by William Mulholland, considered the father of the Los Angeles water supply through his design and construction of the Los Angeles Aqueduct, allowing for Los Angeles' phenomenal growth as the largest city in California and headquarters of the entertainment industry. The Aqueduct also led to the ''California Water Wars'', the high stakes battle for water rights and basis of the Hollywood film ''Chinatown''.
