First draft of Moe Howard's autobiography, ''Moe and the Stooges'', detailing the actor's prolific life, both public and private. Title page of draft reads, ''Moe and the Stooges / By Moe Howard / First Draft 11-23-74''. Table of contents extensively details his life by year and milestones, along with humorous anecdotes about the famous comedic trio. Sadly, the actor passed away in 1975 before completing his manuscript, though his daughter was able to finish and publish it on his behalf. Part 1 and Part 2 run 225pp. in total with the last three pages reading in part, ''...To sit down all alone with a blank sheet of paper and try to put down in words sixty-five years of show business is such a mammoth undertaking I sometimes wonder if I'll have enough energy left to read it when its completed...'' First draft is bound in two separate books with ''Moe Part 1'' and ''Moe Part 2'' stickers affixed to covers. Also with a ''Norman Maurer Productions Inc.'' sticker to each cover, and ''M.H. Manuscript'' stickers to spine. Books are bound in black and measure 9.25'' x 11.25''. Some toning to pages and a couple loose and torn pages to volume 2, else very good to near fine.
