Queen Victoria document signed eleven years into her reign on 1 June 1848. The Queen largely signs ''Victoria R'' to upper left of partially printed document, appointing William Gent Lieutenant of the Devonport Brigade of the Royal Dockyard Corps. Countersigned by Henry Grey as Secretary of State for War and the Colonies. Measures 13.25'' x 9.5''. Vellum document has expected folds, toning and foxing. Very good given age.
