Recipient Joe Mayer's name, category and picture title ''Under Siege'' are engraved on the front of the base. The plot of the fictional film has been noted for its chilling parallels to the real tragedies of September 11th 2001. Iconic figure of the winged woman holding an atom overhead represents the symbiotic relationship of art and science intrinsic to television. Statue weighs 4 pounds 14 ounces and stands 15.5" tall. Base diameter measures 7.5". Black felt underside has an Emmy sticker and an R.S. Owens sticker affixed. Tarnishing, else near fine.
