Neville Chamberlain typed letter signed, dated 21 June 1926, on Ministry of Health letterhead. Chamberlain, then serving as Minister of Health and Member of Parliament in the Conservative Party, writes in full to a Major R. Glyn, ''I am very interested in what you have told me of the efforts you are making to foster a knowledge of Local Government in the younger members of the Conservative Party. As you know I have always been firmly convinced that if Local Government is to be efficient and progressive a much wider knowledge of its details is necessary. I most heartily wish you success in the efforts you are making to spread this knowledge...[signed] N. Chamberlain''. Uniform toning and some soiling to 7.25'' x 9.25'' single page letter, else very good.
