Rare first issue of ''Playboy'' magazine from December 1953, Volume I. Landmark issue of Hefner's controversial men's magazine features the famous color centerfold of Marilyn Monroe. Front cover is in very good condition, with toning, light spotting and a small closed tear to the right edge. First issue points are present including the two-staple binding with black square printed to upper right corner. 43pp. interior is complete, though it has been exposed to excessive humidity resulting in toning and rough texture. Overall in good condition.
