Pablo Picasso terre de faience (earthenware) pitcher ''Pichet Yan'' created at the famed Madoura pottery studio in the south of France, where Picasso collaborated the last 25 years of his life. Painted pitcher in Picasso's unmistakable style was created in 1952 in an edition of 400. Inscribed ''Edition Picasso'' and with both the Edition Picasso and Madoura stamps. Measures 10.25'' tall. In very good condition with a few small scuff marks and a tiny spot of surface soiling inside spout. Number 140 in Alan Ramie's ''Picasso, Catalogue of the Edited Ceramic Works, 1947-1971''.
