Arlington Valles costume sketch from the 1938 film ''A Christmas Carol''. Sketch is of Barry MacKay who played Scrooge's nephew Fred in the movie. Signed ''Valles'', sketch is rendered on 11.75'' x 17.75'' paper, affixed to board measuring 15'' x 20''. Valles would later win an Academy Award for costume design on the film ''Spartacus''. Light toning to board, sketch itself is near fine.
