Original Hal Foster preliminary artwork for the ''Prince Valiant'' comic strip, #1819 in the series. Pencil sketch was for the strip published on 19 December 1971, hand-drawn by Foster as the strip transitioned from Foster to John Cullen Murphy. Measures 8.375'' x 11''. Three hole punch, small chip to edge, and paper strips taped to verso, overall in very good condition. From the John Cullen Murphy estate.
