Original Walt Disney Productions Christmas card from 1931, the second year that the company sent out holiday cards. Card is scarce, with only a handful appearing at auction. Front reads ''Yoo Hoo!'' next to a snowy house, and opens to reveal a colorful illustration of the Disney gang Christmas caroling. Opposite side reads ''A Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year''. Below the illustration is the name of Carolyn Key Shafer, Walt Disney's personal secretary who, as one of her job responsibilities, responded to all the children who would write Mickey Mouse. This card was printed by Disney Productions for Shafer to send to her business contacts; the other variant is blank. Card on textured paper measures 5'' x 7.5'' as folded, 10'' x 7.5'' unfolded. Minor creasing and edgewear, overall near fine.
