Letter reads,

"Darling Baby Joan: --
I hope you and all at home are well. I'm feeling fine and dandy. But quite lonesome as I miss you Paul & mother & all very much. Mother tells me you have been a very good girl and I'm so happy about and so proud of you.

I received your sweet letter and it was so well worded & so well written I just had to show it around. Please continue to be a great big good girl. Am sending you a package of books, I hope you'll like them. Let Billy use them too and don't fight over them or mother will take them away. Please don't be selfish. You are too big & smart for that. God bless you and keep you safe, well and happy forever. For your everlovin, lonesome & Devoted Daddy.

I enjoyed every word of your letter darling. You sure did type it nicely. Do you have fun in your clubhouse. Does Paul belong to your club and does Carole. How is she getting along. Please don't either you or Billy try to carry the babies up or down stairs please remember that.
