Academy Award-winning actress Mary Astor autograph letter signed. Astor's letter, likely to her agent Gloria Safier in New York is dated 18 February 1964 and reads in full, ''Darling - Thank you for the welcome home present: Bendel's Floating Soap - is there a deep symbolism here that I'm missing? I've been floating, I was somewhat travel-stained - but I'll take it as meaning 'welcome to the comforts of home!' I gotta book - in my head, in notes, in research photos and about fifty pages in writing. Now all I have to do is dig through three months of clutter, get to feeling at home and sit my ass in front of a typewriter...'' Signed ''Mary'' in blue ink. Single-page letter measures 8.5'' x 11''.
