Timepiece aficionado Marlene Dietrich personally owned watch crafted as a brooch. Watch suspends from a Fleur-de-Lis brooch in black enamel with pink rose design on both the brooch and watch. Watch faces backward and reads right-side-up when the wearer flips it over to tell the time. Dial in off-white features the brand name Royce, with closed minute ring, gilt numbers and hands in Moderne style. Unmarked brooch is by Kocher, Sylvan & Cie, SA Grentchen, Switzerland. Dates to the mid-20th century. Measures just over 2'' in length and nearly 1'' in diameter. Winding mechanism is either not present for the movement design or not functional. Tarnishing to bezel and the Y in Royce is absent. Very good. From the estate of Marlene Dietrich.
