Malcolm X autograph letter signed, on the verso of a postcard of a buffalo, as he was writing from Buffalo, New York. As newlyweds, Malcolm X writes to his wife in 1958, in full, ''I was dreadfully afraid of planes until after I had made my first trip by air. Since then I find it is the best method of travel. My marriage to you is the same way. . . the best thing for me. / Malcolm X''. Malcolm X addresses the card to ''Miss Betty X. Sanders'' in Brooklyn, New York at the Nurse's Residence, where Betty was then working. Card is postmarked 1958 from Buffalo, where Malcolm X would periodically travel to in the late 1950s for the Nation of Islam. Card measures 5.5'' x 3.5''. Light wear, overall very good condition with bold handwriting.
