Malcolm X autograph letter signed from Mecca, Saudi Arabia in April 1964. Malcolm X writes to Gloria Owens, sister of Nation of Islam secretary (NOI) Maceo X Owens. Malcolm X writes, ''Greetings from the holiest and most sacred city on earth. We'll be back in November, after completing a tour of Africa. Malcolm X''. Malcolm X wrote this letter just weeks after leaving the NOI. On his travels to Mecca, he reportedly met white people with whom he felt a kindred spirit, which gave him optimism for better race relations in the United States. Postcard measures 5.5'' x 3.5''. Very good plus condition with bold handwriting.
