Lyndon B. Johnson personally owned Stetson hat, one of the pieces of clothing almost always worn by the President, at least back home in Texas. Gold-stamped upon the black leather sweatband of the hat reads, ''Made by Stetson Especially for Lyndon B. Johnson'' and a picture of Texas appears on the grey satin liner tip with ''Johnson City / LBJ Ranch''. Beige satin acts as hatband, with a self-covered button. Luxurious hat is size 7 1/4'', befit for a President as one would expect. Accompanied by original buckled carrying case, with the Texas, LBJ Ranch insignia on top and Stetson label on side of box, with Johnson's name printed, along with the hat size, type of hat (OpenRoad) and color, the tan shade known as Silbelly. Near fine condition.
