Lyndon B. Johnson typed letter signed, dated 3 September 1969. Here, Johnson writes to ''Washington Star'' cartoonist Gib Crockett: '...Your 'Pedernales Gazette' arrived just right for my birthday. Thank you very much for continuing your generous contributions. We are all looking forward to the cartoonist convention here in 1971 and I surely hope you are making your plans to attend...'' Letter on one page measures 7'' x 9'' with minor folds to corners. Near fine condition.
