Lot of two photos taken by David F. Barry, the western photographer whose portraits of the Lakota people earned him the nickname ''Little Shadow Catcher'' by the tribe. First photo is of Chief Rain-in-the-Face, a Lakota warrior who fought in the Battle of Little Bighorn, rumored to have killed George A. Custer. Silver gelatin photo with Barry's copyright stamp measures 8.375'' x 6.375''. Affixed to black construction paper, on the verso of which is the second silver gelatin photo, a group portrait, titled ''Wives and daughters of Sitting Bull'', measuring 9.5'' x 7.625''. Minor silvering, else near fine.
