Lot of two photos taken by David F. Barry, the western photographer whose portraits of the Lakota people earned him the nickname ''Little Shadow Catcher'' by the tribe. First photo shows the Lakota Chief Good Horse in full regalia of war bonnet, fur yoke, arm bands and breastplate. Measures 7.375'' x 9.25'' with Barry's embossed copyright stamp. Second photo shows Chief Henry Bull Head, the Indian Agency police officer who shot Sitting Bull, precipitating the Wounded Knee Massacre. Measures 7.5'' x 9.75'' with Barry's embossed copyright stamp. Mounted to black construction paper, minor soiling and silvering, overall very good plus condition.
