Lot of three photos taken by David F. Barry, the western photographer whose portraits of the Lakota people earned him the nickname ''Little Shadow Catcher'' by the tribe. First photo is the famous image of Sitting Bull's son, Crow Foot, who was killed by federal agents along with his father in 1890. Silver gelatin photo has three embossed copyright stamps by Barry and measures 6.25'' x 8.25''. Minor silvering and creasing, overall very good plus condition.
Second photo captures the wife of Chief Gall, one of the Lakota leaders who fought at Little Bighorn. With Barry's embossed copyright stamp, silver gelatin photo measures 5'' x 7''. Minor silvering, overall very good. Both photos are affixed to black construction paper, on the verso of which is the third photo, a haunting image titled ''Indian Woman at Grave of Child.'' With Barry's copyright stamp to photographic border. Photo measures 6.375'' x 8.5''. Near fine condition.
