Lot of 10 checks handwritten and signed by Apollo 1 astronaut Gus Grissom. Checks range in date from 1957 to 1966, with Grissom's printed name and rank ascending accordingly from Captain to Lt. Colonel. Each check is signed Virgil I. Grissom in blue fountain pen or ballpoint, with all having at least some portions handwritten by Grissom as well. One check is twice-signed by Grissom, as he paid it to ''The Account of Virgil I. Grissom''. Checks all measure approximately 6.25'' x 2.75''. Piece of tape appears at the top of the twice-signed check. Cancellation stamps to all and bank holes to most, but handwriting remains prominent. Very good condition.
