Dwight Eisenhower signs: ''DE'' as President to a typed letter on White House stationery dated 13 March 1956 to his brother Edgar that reads, ''...Howard Snyder [Eisenhower's physician] brought to me your letter and its accompanying brochure on the Stauffer Posture-Rest. I am grateful for your thought, but...I am on a schedule of work, rest, diet, recreation and exercise...'' The Stauffer product was a couch that claimed to affect weight loss and became the subject of a false advertising lawsuit. Measures 7'' x 10.5''. Mailing folds, else fine.
