Dwight Eisenhower signs ''D.E.'' as President to a letter typed on White House stationery dated 10 May 1956 in response to his brother Edgar's concerns over a senator's snide remark regarding treatment Edgar received from the President's personal doctor. A copy of Edgar's letter is included, explaining the situation and offering to pay the doctor or return the pills, to which Dwight replies, ''...just tell them you were sick and that I...sent my doctor...if there were any [costs involved] I will pay them...'' 7'' x 9''. Punch holes, else fine.
