A grateful Dwight Eisenhower signs a typed letter as President on White House stationery datelined Denver, Colorado, 22 October 1955 to his brother and sister-in-law the month following his heart attack, which reads, ''...Your note of good wishes on my birthday...just now came to my attention. I agree with you as to the disadvantages of the circumstances - but this year I was...glad to...celebrate under any conditions...[signed] DE''. Measures 6.75'' x 8.75''. Folds and ink spots to left edge, else near fine.
