Dwight D. Eisenhower typed letter signed as President, dated 20 February 1954 from Palm Springs on White House stationery. Here, Eisenhower writes to his brother Edgar in a lighthearted manner: ''...I was truly disappointed that you could not come down. I have met some of your friends...Numbers of others that I have run into tell me that they have played golf with you. Most of them say it rather ruefully as if it may have cost them something...'' Signed ''D.E.'' in black ink. Letter measures 7'' x 10.25'' on one page. Near fine.
