Intriguing typed letter signed by William Taft on Supreme Court stationery to Pulitzer Prize winning author Edward Bok, praising a plan of Bok's. In part, ''...You have had such...great success in fixing the attention of the public...You effect this purpose not only by inviting competition but also by inviting the attention of the committees of award and the attention of the general public...'' This new plan of Bok's followed his successful American Peace Award. Single page letter dated 23 January 1925 measures 8'' x 10.5''. Very good condition.
