President Abraham Lincoln and son ''Tad'' oval cut albumen photograph, taken by Anthony Berger on 9 February 1864 at Mathew Brady's Studio. Thomas was the fourth son of Abraham and Mary Lincoln. The nickname ''Tad'' was given to him by his father who found Thomas ''as wriggly as a tadpole'' when he was a baby. There are stories of him interrupting Presidential meetings, collecting animals and charging visitors to see his father. Photo measures 3'' x 4.5'' in an ornate period frame measuring 8.5'' x 12.5''.
