Carl Jung typed letter signed with humorous content on a gift of sausages which found a way into Jung's ''innermost being''. Written to his mentee, Dr. Rivkah Scharf, Jung writes on his personal letterhead, dated 4 August 1945. Translated from German, letter reads, ''Dear Miss Scharf, I must thank you very much for the deeply felt sausages I found in Bollingen and which found a way into my innermost being. My family took part in this fortune with me as well. / Best regards, / Your always devoted / C.G. Jung.'' Single page measures 8.25'' x 5.875''. Single fold, light wear and faint foxing, overall near fine condition. Accompanied by original mailing envelope.
