Carl Jung autograph letter signed with intriguing content on dreams and the unconscious. Writing to his mentee, Dr. Rivkah Scharf, Jung pens this letter on 23 November 1944 on his personal letterhead. Translated from German, letter reads in full,

''Dear Miss! It seems to me as though threatening dreams would appear whenever something was constellated for you within the unconscious, because you 'habitually' react to the unconscious as if it were something pathological. These dreams are a kind of exaggerated, excessively intense reaction, most likely due to the fact that you fell too abruptly, so to speak, from the Middle Ages into the modern age - and indeed into the very latest one. There seems to be something connected with Hurwitz that stands in opposition to your dissertation, at least in the form that it still has in the unconscious. As you guessed correctly, there is no cause for concern. / Warm greetings, your C.G. Jung''.

Single page letter measures 8.125'' x 5.875''. Fold and minor edgewear, overall near fine condition. Accompanied by original mailing envelope.
