Carl Jung autograph letter signed, written from Zurich on 6 August 1952. Composed on his personal stationery in German, Jung's intriguing letter to fellow psychoanalyst Dr. Rivkah Scharf translates in full,
''Dear Miss! / Kindly excuse that my thanks for your kind and 'having-been-delicious' birthday present is so late! / Your situation is very difficult, and it is impossible to say what would be the correct attitude towards it. I agree with Miss Binder: Do nothing, especially nothing elaborate or fundamental. Endure it as much as possible, or else do something 'incorrect' or irrational. Most of all, I wish you much patience and very little Animus. / With best wishes, your faithful / C. G. Jung''.
Single page letter measures 8.125'' x 5.75''. Vertical fold, overall near fine. Accompanied by original envelope handwritten by Jung.
