Tupac Shakur autograph letter signed, undated but circa early 1989 when Tupac attended Talampais High School in Mill Valley, California. Tupac writes in blue ballpoint to Cosima Knez, his fellow Ensemble Theatre Company member and erstwhile romantic partner, after they had broken up and she began dating someone new. Tupac still had feelings for her, though, as demonstrated in this playful letter where he asks Cosima how ''prison'' is, referring to her new relationship. Letter reads in full,
''Cosima, I'm only writting [sic] 2 u because I'm sure you're bored. U better write me back! TODAY!! so how's prison? Lonely? Did you give Aaron your 'pussy'......cat! :) Well, I don't know what else 2 say! Write me back so that I can have something 2 discuss. Answer my questions. Take your time but hurry up!! :) . I'll C U at lunch on visiting hours. / Eternally Your Friend, Tupac A. Shakur''.
Single page on lined paper measures 8.5'' x 11''. Creasing, and spots of discoloration to corners. Overall very good. With provenance from Sotheby's, consigned there by Cosima Knez.
