Napoleon Bonaparte letter signed from Paris on 16 January 1813, shortly after Napoleon's army's retreated from Russia where he escaped in a sled as a military coup in Paris waged against him. French letter is untranslated but pertains to the military, with battalion written within and addressed to a Major General. Letter measures 7'' x 8.875''. Folds and minor fading, mounting remnant to verso. Overall in very good condition.
