Retained copy of the letter to James Dean from his agent Jane Deacy, dated 2 December 1954 to Dean at his home in Los Angeles. Deacy expresses some frustration with Dean regarding his lack of contact, writing, ''I have quite alot of fan mail of yours and the majority of them want autographed pictures...if you prefer, I will send the mail to you and you can take care of it, but knowing you, it will never get done...Jimmy, I wish you would write me and tell me what is going on. I read in the paper that John Kerr is doing the part in The Cobweb. What happened? Jimmy, please keep in touch with me, as this is the only way I can be of help to you. / Love, / Jane Deacy''.
