J. Edgar Hoover typed letter signed on official FBI stationery. Dated 1 March 1970, he grants an employee an award for thirty years of service. The letter reads in part, ''...It has been a constant source of reassurance for me to observe the fine attitude with which our seasoned associates like you have responded to each new challenge faced by the organization...J. Edgar Hoover''. From 1940-1970 the FBI handled Nazi and Soviet espionage issues, as well as Kennedy's assassination. Measures 8'' x 10.5''. Toning and creasing, else near fine.
