Charming autograph letter signed by Rudolph Valentino, dated 27 January 1910, revealing his age as a young 14 year old, not yet the romantic icon he would become. From his home in Taranto, Italy, Valentino writes his childhood friend Bruno Pozzan in Carmignano, Italy, with the envelope hand-addressed by Valentino included. Two page letter in Italian translates in part, ''Dear Bruno, I wrote you a long letter several days ago...Meanwhile, I've heard nothing from you--whether you received the things I sent you. Please answer my letters soon...I'm sending you my photograph with this letter, and I hope you'll send me one of you as soon as you get one taken...Excuse me for not writing more, but I'm busy. What is Rivolta doing now? Please write soon. An embrace from Your dear friend, Rodolfo...'' Two page letter on bifolium, card-style stationery measures 4.25'' x 7'' as folded. Some toning and discoloration, mostly confined to blank verso, and partial separation along folds. Overall very good condition.
