Hundreds of items owned by Jean Stapleton, ever famous for her portrayal of Edith Bunker on ''All in the Family''. Archive, consigned by her estate, includes awards, photos, posters, books, Playbills and tapes, many associated with her iconic role from the 1970s. Lot includes: (1) People's Choice Award for ''Favorite Female Performer'' for ''All in the Family'', awarded to Stapleton in 1980; (2) American Academy of Humor Award from 1976 for ''All in the Family'' for ''Funniest Starring Performance''; (3) Artwork commemorating the U.S. postal stamp issued in honor of ''All in the Family'', with plaque reading ''1970s Celebrate The Century 'All in the Family' Stamp Unveiling / Beverly Hills CA / October 28, 1999''; (4) Directors Guild of America memento from 1978 in the shape of a director's chair; (5) Kennedy Center Honors plaque from 1991; (6) Invitation to the Academy Awards in 1982; (7) Four American Comedy Award nominations, all for Lifetime Achievement. Other items include two Collector's Edition VHS tapes for ''All in the Family'', dozens of photos from the show and numerous items related to Stapleton's Broadway work including her portray of Eleanor Roosevelt. An excellent lot of items from the beloved actress, all in generally very good condition.
