Rare Ernest Hemingway photo archive. Lot of sixteen images comprise eight color slides and eight color prints of Hemingway, taken in the fall of 1959 in Ketchum, Idaho, at the home that served as headquarters for the author's hunting excursions. A.E. Hotchner, Hemingway's biographer, is pictured alongside Hemingway in two of the slides. Other photos show Hemingway by himself. Slides measure 2'' x 2'' and prints measure 4'' x 6''. Some fading, else near fine. From the personal collection of Roberto Herrera Sotolongo, Hemingway's friend and secretary whom he charged with the care of his estate Finca La Vigia in Cuba in his absence. In addition, Herrera acted as conservator of the Hemingway museum in Cuba through 1970.
