King George III style pair of silver vegetable dishes with lids, engraved with contemporary arms and later Morgan crest. Shaped circular dishes have gadroon rims, octagonal wells with conforming domed covers, and include the Wakelin & Taylor, London, 1780 markings. Additionally numbered ''3'' and ''4'' with scratch weights. Measures 10.5'' in diameter and weighs 4 pounds, 13 oz, or 2177g in total. Minor dings to lids and scratches to interior from use, else near fine condition. Previously sold at Sotheby's in their April 2014 European Silver sale, lot 268 for $6,250.
