Lot includes an autograph letter signed by Sellers to ''Michael'', i.e, Michael Jeffrey, described as Sellers' assistant and companion late in his life; Jeffrey would go on to have a successful costuming career in Hollywood throughout the 1980s. Letter on ''Peter Sellers'' stationery alludes to the difficulties Sellers had with others on set, reading in part ''...I often find it easier to put my thoughts on paper than to talk something out. We have spent a great deal of time together over these past weeks and I think it would be a really good idea & beneficial to us both if, after the Cannes Festival, you found a film to work on until we are ready to shoot Panther. I will naturally keep you on your retainer so please don't feel in any way this letter is some kind of termination of employment...In the meantime we have Ireland and Cannes to look forward to...Peter''. Lot also includes Jeffrey's copy of ''Revenge of the Pink Panther'', which has copious notes throughout, mostly related to costumes for various characters. Lot additionally includes two signed 8'' x 10'' photos of Peter Sellers, a signed 8.25'' x 12'' book of ''Gnomes'' (inscribed, ''These are better to have at the bottom of your garden than those other things.
