Ernest Hemingway used bullfighting ticket from 21 August 1959. Hemingway wrote about his experiences at this particular bullfight for a series of articles for Life magazine that would turn into Hemingway's final book ''The Dangerous Summer'', which was posthumously published in 1985. The ticket is part of a collection of items owned by Roberto Herrera Sotolongo, who was Hemingway's close friend and personal secretary when he lived in Havana, Cuba. The colorful paper ticket lists the shaded numbered section Hemingway sat in, and contains a lively depiction of a bullfighting scene. Right edge is torn from where the ticket stub was detached. Right edge also contains a blue entrance stamp on both the front and back of the ticket. A unique artifact closely affiliated with the actual work of one of America's most storied writers. Measures 6.5'' x 2.5''. Foxing to verso. Very good.
