English Football Association runner-up Challenge Cup medal from championship game between Nottingham Forest and Tottenham Hotspur, held on 18 May 1991, with a final score of 2-1. 9 carat gold medal made by J.R. Gaunt & Son was awarded to an unknown Nottingham Forest player. Formed in the 1880s, Nottingham Forest won the F.A. Cup in 1898 and 1959, the Premier League in 1978, and the Champions League in 1979 and 1980. Front of medal features a relief of 2 soccer players and reads: ''THE FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION''. Verso has wreath at bottom and reads in center: ''CHALLENGE CUP / RUNNERS-UP''. Etched into rim of medal is ''1990-1991''. Measures 32 mm or 1.25''. Weighs 22.8 g. or .8 oz. Comes with 4'' x 4'' match ticket, 114pp. program, 22.5'' x 31.5'' poster, and 6'' x 4'' team photo. Medal presented in near fine condition.
