George Weiss typed letter signed to Joe Devine, dated 11 July 1935 on Newark International Baseball Club letterhead. Weiss, then New York Yankees' farm system director, writes to Yankee scout Devine about a request for healthcare from employee Bud Randell, with the original correspondence attached. Letter reads in part: ''...I don't like to get into the habit of these things...However, of course, we want the goy [sic] in good health if possible...[signed] George Weiss''. 8.5'' x 11'' letter shows minor toning, else very good.
