Dwight Eisenhower signs ''DE'' in blue ink as President to a typed letter dated 18 June 1955 on White House stationery written in reply to his brother Edgar. Eisenhower declines a proposed golf game with an acquaintance of Edgar's: ''The New England trip has been planned by a committee of Senators and Congressmen...I am completely in their hands, and -- after seeing the schedule that has been arranged for me -- I can find no opportunity for a game with Mr. Keating...'' A copy of Edgar Eisenhower's letter is included. Single fold to the 6.75'' x 8.25'' Presidential letter and punch holes for filing, else near fine.
