Michael Collins signed memoir, ''Carrying The Fire, An Astronaut's Journeys''. Published by Farrar, Straus & Giroux: New York: 2009. Signed ''Michael Collins'' on the title page in black ink. This paperback is the 40th Anniversary Edition, printed in commemoration of Collins, Armstrong and Aldrin's 1969 lunar landing. Of it, ''The New York Times Book Review'' wrote, ''No other person who has flown in space has captured the experience so vividly.'' Accompanied by 8 candid photos of Collins at his book signing at the Air and Space Museum in Washington, DC, and an Apollo 11 commemorative coin. 478pp. photo-illustrated book has minute chipping to top margin of backstrip, else fine.
