Gold F.A. Challenge Cup runners-up medal won by West Bromwich Albion Manager Fred Everiss in 1935. Everiss served the team for an astounding 46 years from 1902-48, serving as its secretary, manager and director. The West Bromwich Albion club lost 4-2 to Sheffield Wednesday in the F.A. Challenge Cup final on 27 April 1935. Medal, manufactured by Vaughtons, features engraved shield to front and Everiss' name engraved to verso. Housed in original brown leather box with white felt interior. Measures 1'' in diameter. Box measures 2.5'' x 2.5''. Medal weighs 25 grams. Near fine.
