Composed on White House stationery, Truman writes to Chester Lang of Schenectady, New York, ''...I appreciated very much your note of the twenty-first from the jet-engine propelled plane. I hope we will have an opportunity to have that visit...[signed] Harry Truman''. Single page measures 7'' x 9''. Accompanied by metal plaque with Truman's biography, measuring 7'' x 5''. Original letter from Chester Lang to Truman is also included. Staple marks, otherwise near fine.
