British Royal Navy flag personally owned by King Edward VIII, while he served as Duke of Windsor. Flag was hung in Edward's two residencies: Fort Belvedere in Windsor Great Park and the Bois de Boulogne on Rue Champs d'Entrainement, where he lived until his death in 1972. Flag features wooden beams and two wires affixed to the top, as well as a rope with a hook, allowing it to be hung or strung up a flagpole. Measures 42'' x 90''. Some fabric thinning and two small holes to bottom. Very good condition. With provenance from the September 1997 Sotheby's Duke and Duchess of Windsor auction.
