Nice collection of 35 autographs by American historical figures, including Presidents Benjamin Harrison and Rutherford B. Hayes. Significant signatures include: (1) Benjamin Harrison signed autograph page as President, ''Benj Harrison / Feby 9th 1893''; (2) Rutherford B. Hayes page signed 10 days before his death, ''Rutherford B. Hayes / Spiegel Grove / Fremont O[hio] / 7 Jan'y 1893''; Vice President ''Levi P. Morton / February 22, 1893''. Other signatures include those of Speakers of the House Charles F. Crisp and Thomas Brackett Reed; John Sherman, author of the Sherman Anti-Trust Act and brother of General Tecumseh Sherman; Iowan Senator James F. Wilson; New Hampshire Senator William E. Chandler. Autographs are housed in a gilt-edged autograph book, circa 1893. Both Hayes' and Harrison's signatures have a blank verso, with discoloring on half of Hayes' signature due to the newspaper article opposite it. Overall in very good condition.
