Ray Bradbury signed announcement of his Medal of Arts award, which he received in 2004. Citation shows Bradbury wearing the medal, seated between President George W. Bush and Laura Bush in the Oval Office. Document reads in part, ''2004 National Medal of Arts: Citation / Ray Bradbury / 'For his incomparable contributions to American fiction as one of its great storytellers who, through his explorations of science and space, has illuminated the human condition'...'' Bradbury writes at bottom, ''Sam! / Your Final Page! / Love! Ray'' in blue marker. Bradbury likely addressed it to Sam Weller, his biographer who published ''The Bradbury Chronicles'' in 2005. Single page measures 8.5'' x 11''. Near fine condition. With a COA from the Ray Bradbury estate.
